2. The Dufuna Canoe is Africa’s oldest known boat which was discovered by a Fulani Herdsmen in Dufuna, Yobe.
3. Archaeologists date back human existence in Nigeria to 9,000 BC, with the Nok civilization being the oldest in existence.
4. The Yoruba ethnic group has the highest rate of twin births in the world. Rumour has it that the high yam consumption has something to do with this.
5. The Niger Delta is the second largest delta on the planet.
6. More languages are spoken in Taraba State alone than in 30 countries.
7. The Walls of Benin were once thought to be twice the length of Great Wall of China, until 2012 after careful research by Chinese surveyors.
