  The Aurora Tech Award exists to shine a spotlight on some of the world’s best tech startups and companies founded and run by women. It also seeks to reward the best of them with significant sums of money, exposure to a much larger market (on a global scale), connections to a valuable worldwide network, and guidance from seasoned experts and professionals.

The organizers of the Aurora Tech Award say that they intend for this program to help women find and run tech ventures to excel. At the moment, only a small fraction of the funding, technical support and exposure that’s accrued to tech startups have reached those run by women. The Aurora Tech Award wants to change this narrative.

Benefits

This program will benefit its participants in the following ways:
  • Monetary prizes will be doled out to the best startups, as follows:
*First Prize: $30,000 *Second Prize: $20,000 *Third Prize: $10,000
  • Connect with a global community of tech enterprises and be recognized in the startup world
  • Gain brand visibility through PR work done by organizers, and attract potential clients, partners, and investors
  • Be mentored by C-level executives and industry experts
  • Get feedback from Venture Capital experts that will help them improve their business

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for the Aurora Tech Award, entrants must meet these criteria:
  • Must be a female founder and leader at a tech startup or company
  • Should have a viable business model, at least a potential for significant growth, and a product that has gained traction in its market
  • Should be able to demonstrate that they are making a positive impact in their target markets with the work they do
