Testosterone can be said to be the major masculinity-boosting hormone in men. It carries out a host of functions from improving sex drive to building muscles; from strengthening bones to maintaining reproductive health. In a nutshell, it can be said to be the basis of existence as a man. It therefore pays to be attentive to your testosterone levels. One of the best ways you can boost your testosterone levels is through your diet.  There are a handful of foods that perform this exact task.

Sardines

Sardines are deliicious, especially when eaten with a loaf of bread. These small fishes contain high amounts of vitamin D which significantly affects the production of testosterone in a positive way.  Eating a healthy serving of sardine daily will make a difference in your T-levels.

Garlic

Vampires are not the only entities susceptible to garlic. In fact, these little bulbs bring their A-game in boosting testosterone by cutting out a stress hormone called Cortisol. High levels of Cortisol reduce muscle gains and this, in turn, has a negative impact on your T-levels.  So if Cortisol is reduced, Testosterone can function better.  Garlic is best eaten raw because the compound (allicin) it contains is in higher amounts than when it is cooked.

Eggs

In Nigeria, eggs are a staple food, and considering the fact that people like to consume them, they can easily be leveraged to spike up those T-levels.  The yoke is rich in cholesterol which encourages higher levels of Testosterone. A serving of three eggs a day will do the magic and there is little or no need to worry about cholesterol becoming excessive.

Cabbage

Why so much hate on estrogen? You may wonder. Well, estrogen is not necessarily a bad hormone and is the major hormone in women as testosterone is for men. Men have some level of estrogen in them but it becomes a problem when this level passes a certain limit and this is where cabbage comes into play. Cabbage contains a chemical called indole-3-carbinol which helps to rid you of feminine traits. According to studies, when men take cabbages, their estrogen levels are halved making more room for testosterone.
