  The recently concluded mPAD (manufacturing Partnerships for African Development) & Nigerian Manufacturing Expo 2016 was a 3-day event that was held from March 15th -17th, 2016 in Landmark Centre, Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos. This is the official annual meeting place and procurement event for members of the Manufacturers’ Association of Nigeria who are investing in new technology that will modernize and improve their manufacturing capabilities. At the exhibition and conference, Nigerian manufacturers came for evaluation and purchase of new manufacturing machinery, free training sessions and to increase local production, support job creation, stimulate the nation’s growth and diversify the Nigerian economy. There were top manufacturing companies at the exhibition who are into various sectors ranging from food, beverages, tobacco processing, packaging, labeling, printing, textiles, leather, automotive, cement, ceramics and glass and pharmaceuticals industries, amongst others. The aim of the expo was indeed achieved; lots of knowledge shared and gained, networking and informative and this promises to be a huge platform for the Nigerian manufacturing sector in the nearest future.
