  Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, has released his 24-man squad list for Nigeria’s 2022 Africa Cup of Nations two-leg qualifier matches against Sierra Leone on November 13 (at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin) and 17, 2020 (in Freetown, Sierra Leone). The German tactician handed FC Lugano of Switzerland’s shot-stopper, Sebastian Osigwe, his first senior national team call up after the 26-year-old turned out impressive for his club.

Notable names like Victor Osimhen, Oghenekaro Etebo, Joe Aribo, and Daniel Akpeyi, who were all missing during Nigeria’s October international friendlies against Algeria and Tunisia due to injuries and COVID-19 restrictions are back in the squad as the Eagles look to have an impressive outing against their West African rivals. Victory in both matches is likely to see the Super Eagles secure their ticket to the 2022 AFCON finals. Gernot Rohr also placed seven players on his standby list.
