Trendy clothes, an assortment of nicely made shoes, and a good deal of humanity. That’s a snappy description of Carwin Collectibles, an online fashion retail store with a growing presence on Instagram. The store is an outlet for a variety of wearable items: clothing, sandals, shoes and handbags of varying sizes, representing multiple styles. And it’s also big on fair pricing, as its founder sees it.

Carmelita Obaje, who started up Carwin Collectibles, describes herself as one who loves people and fashion. She’s an ex-beauty queen (winner of the northern Miss New Nigeria World 2016), who’s married to a professional football league player (Ifeanyi Uba FC’s Godwin Obaje). And it’s apparent that her tastes are just as eclectic as the fairly colourful life she’s had thus far. At least, her fashion store suggests this.

Carwin Collectibles appears to be birthed from the cross between Carmelita’s love for humanity and her interest in fashion. She says the online retail outlet is her way of making the very latest clothing available at affordable prices to people who wouldn’t otherwise be able to get a hold of them.

“I’m opportuned to get the trendy things. There are some people out there who wish to get them but cannot, because they’re costly. I wanted to help, so I created this online store to reach out to as many who wish to get trendy fashion on a low budget.” -Carmelita Obaje.

Carwin Collectibles takes orders via Whatsapp (contact available on its Instagram page) and delivers to customers nationwide. Because it is based in Kaduna, buyers also have the option of picking up the items they want to purchase in that city.

Carmelita thinks Instagram has been great for business. She says it is helping her build a venture that aligns with her ideals, one which makes people happy.

“Doing business on Instagram has been fulfilling, as I have met and touched lives through it.” -Carmelita.
