1. Sloth is the slowest animal. Sloths are three-toed mammals that move at an average speed of 4m (10ft) per minute.
2. Ostriches run faster than horses. While the Ostrich runs at about 70KM/h, the horse gallops at an average of 40-48 kilometres per hour.
3. Bat is the only mammal animal that has the ability to fly. Other mammals are either terrestrial (man) or aquatic (whale), and they don’t have the ability to fly.
4. Elephants and whales also undergo menopause like humans. The fertility rate of an Elephant declines at 45-50 years of age.
5. Ants do not sleep and they are without lungs.
6. Hummingbirds are the only birds that can fly backwards.
7. Oysters change to the gender that suits them when they mate.
8. A herd of unicorns is called ‘a blessing’.
9. Flamingos can only eat when their heads are upside down.
10. A blind chameleon will still take on the color of its environment.
