The Polygon Bootcamp Africa, supported by Xend Finance (a global crypto bank), is an eight-week program combining learning and a hackathon to prepare Africa’s next generation of developers for the Web3 revolution.

This program is open to both aspiring web3 creators and builders and persons who already have some experience in that sphere. Accordingly, it is split into two tracks. The first (the Beginner Track) will show people new to web3 how the blockchain works and teach them to write smart contracts and create applications. The second track (Mastery Track) will take participants through Polygon’s solutions.

Persons who take part in this Bootcamp will benefit from it in the following ways:

Sign up for the Connect Nigeria daily newsletter

They will learn how web3 works and gain the skills they need to build solutions on decentralized platforms

The program’s organizers will consider the top three projects from the Beginner Track for rewards of $5,000, $3,000, and $2,000, respectively

The top three Master Track projects will earn their builders rewards of $10,000, $7,000 and $5,000

The three leading Master Track submissions will gain entrance into Polygon’s Accelerator, where they will receive extra mentorship and be eligible for more funding

Another 10 runners up in the Beginner Track and 30 runners up in the Mastery Track will get $500 and $750, respectively
