If you were making the Twitter rounds this morning, you may have already noticed the latest development on the social media platform – a heart symbol. In an official announcement, the company introduced the symbol as a representative of the ‘Like’ action for users. This also serves as the replacement of the ‘Favourite’ option represented by a star. Twitter-Heart “You can say a lot with a heart. Introducing a new way to show how you feel,” the statement read, coming as a tweet from the company’s official account @Twitter. Apparently, too many people were “Favouriting” tweets, using the icon as a Like button (as on Facebook). What are your thoughts on the new development? Do you like the new symbol?
