If I Am President
The movie, written and directed by Bright Wonder, is set in present-day Nigeria. It captures the story of Zinachi Ohams, a 37-year-old presidential candidate of a newly founded political party – the Nigerian Rebirth Party. The party comprises political greenhorns from a civil society group. Ohams and his team of young idealists dare all the odds and politically motivated attacks to become an unstoppable force in the elections. Following the current trend of young, relatively inexperienced people diving into the murky waters of politics, the film paints a picture of what can be expected, given the prevalent political environment in the country, but with a strong message that it is possible to become a force to be reckoned with if they do not back down in the face of opposition and threat. If I Am President stars Joke Silva, Bimbo Manuel, Bryan Okwara, Ayo Ayoola, Rahama Sadau, Rekiya Atta, Ivie Okujaye, Victor Decker and Kayode Aiyegbusi. It is scheduled for release later in October. You might also like:
