  The Policy and Legal Advocacy Center (PLAC) is organizing a 10-week internship program for young Nigerians who want to learn how the Nigerian National Assembly carries out its legislative duties. This is part of its agenda to promote citizen engagement in governance and enable the public to have a greater say in the development and execution of policies that affect them.

Persons who are accepted into this internship program will get a firsthand view of the legislative process, including how bills are drafted, treated at the national assembly, and prepared for assent by the executive. PLAC intends this initiative to strengthen Nigeria’s democracy by deepening citizens’ understanding of the creation of laws that affect them. The program is being implemented with support from the European Union (EU).
