Persons who are accepted into this internship program will get a firsthand view of the legislative process, including how bills are drafted, treated at the national assembly, and prepared for assent by the executive. PLAC intends this initiative to strengthen Nigeria’s democracy by deepening citizens’ understanding of the creation of laws that affect them. The program is being implemented with support from the European Union (EU).

Eligibility
This program is open to persons who meet the following criteria:- Have at least a First Degree in any discipline from a recognized tertiary institution
- Aged between 21 and 35 years
- Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program
- Should have excellent English speaking and writing skills
- Must be computer literate, and able to use basic computer programs

The Application Process
Persons who want to apply for this program should take these steps:- Prepare a CV, which also includes their state of origin; this should not be more than 2 pages long
- Include a Statement of Purpose/Intent at the bottom of the same document in which the CV is contained; this statement should not be longer than 300 words
- Complete the web application form, upload their CV in Microsoft Word format, and save in their name
- Go on to complete the pre-screening assessment form
