  Applications are now open for the D-Prize Challenge 2025. This initiative is designed to support organizations working to end extreme poverty in low or middle-income countries. It offers startup grants of up to $20,000 to social entrepreneurs who are launching new organizations—whether they be charities, NGOs or for-profit ventures –that exist to tackle poverty.

The D-Prize Challenge is built to drive solutions in health, water, agriculture, livelihoods, energy, public services, and education. Social enterprises seeking seed funding to roll out poverty-alleviation solutions in these areas are welcome to enter the D-Prize Challenge.

The winning startups will benefit from this challenge in the following ways:

Eligibility

This program is open to new social impact organizations, including first-time entrepreneurs who have not launched or previously raised funding. Intending participants from low-income or middle-income countries are encouraged to apply. Applications remain open until November 24, 2024.
