  Apply for the 2024 Google Conference Scholarship for African students. This is an initiative to remove the barriers that hinder underrepresented groups in tech and business from attending leading conferences.

The 2024 Google Conference Scholarship aims to build tools that can change the world by creating an inclusive atmosphere and bringing together societies that are diverse in attributes, experiences, and perspectives. It also believes that everyone deserves the chance to pursue a tech career, make connections in the industry, and connect with peers.

The requirements for the application include:

  1. \The applicant must be a full-time student at a recognized African university who needs conference travel funds.
  2. The applicant must have a paper that has been accepted by a computer science conference that is top-tier. Google prefers to support conferences in research areas in which it has a strong interest. Applicants are advised to visit research.google.com to find out areas.
  3. The applicant must be the sole or joint first author of the accepted paper.

The scholarship covers full travel expenses (including to and from the conference site, hotel accommodation, and a stipend of $100 for miscellaneous expenses and Google swag) for the candidate to attend and present the paper at a conference.
