Super-Eagles1

Joseph Yobo, Super Eagles defender, has been enlisted in the 23-man squad released by Eagles head coach, Stephen Keshi ahead of the March 5th international friendly against Mexico. Yobo, who is back in the English Premiership, this time with Norwich City, on loan from Fenerbahce FC of Turkey, last played with the Super Eagles at the 29th African Cup of Nations in South Africa. In a surprising move, home-based Super Eagles captain and goalkeeper, Chigozie Agbim, was dropped from the team. Analysts believe that the move shows that the coaching crew of the Eagles are waking up and dropping players who shouldn’t be in the team initially. Also returning are Israel-based defender, Juwon Oshaniwa; 2014 African Nations Championship Most Valuable Player, Ejike Uzoenyi and Canada-based striker, Bright Dike. New faces include  Ramon Azeez,  Shehu Abdullahi, and Belgium-based strikers, Imoh Ezekiel and Michael Uchebo. Centre–back, Kunle Odunlami, who made CAF’s list of best 11 at the recent African Nations Championship in South Africa was also called to join the squad.
