StartUP Friday, a startup cofounders and investors meet up organized by NITDA’s Office for ICT Innovation and Entrepreneurship (OIIE), will take place this month in Kaduna.

StartUp Friday is Nigeria’s biggest startup building event, which enables startups to link up with investors, mentors, celebrity entrepreneurs, buyers, partners, developers and policy makers. It also gives them the chance to access early stage funding support, mentorship, and business advisory support. According to its organizers, the ultimate aim of the program is to establish new interconnections in the Nigerian tech ecosystem and strengthen existing linkages. They also expect that it will provide startups with the right environment and resources to grow their business.

Five editions of StartUp Friday were held last year, the last of which took place in Lagos in September. That event featured seed stage and growth stage pitches, fireside chats on sourcing and investing in deals, as well as networking sessions that involved startups and other players in the tech ecosystem. This month’s edition of StartUP Friday will be its sixth.

StartUP Friday will take place on Friday, March 31, 2017, at Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation, Race Course Road, Kaduna. Attendance is free; intending participants can register by filling and submitting the event’s online registration form.
