Nigerian national team striker, Victor Osimhen, found the back of the net twice for his French club Lille OSC as they recorded their second Ligue 1 victory for the 2019/2020 campaign against Saint Etienne at the Stade Pierre- Mauroy on Wednesday, August 28, 2019.

The Nigerian forward started the game from the bench and was brought on in the 19th minute to replace Loic Remy. Osimhen got his first goal of the game six minutes from the break, after being set up by Domagoj Bradaric to gift the home side the lead. Jonathan Bamba did not fail to convert a penalty into a goal in the 69th minute of the Wednesday night clash.

With 16 minutes left on the clock, all Osimhen needed was a pass from Mehmet Zeki to get his second goal of the game and seal  a 3-0 victory for the French football giants. The 2019 AFCON bronze medalist has now registered a total of four goals in three league appearances for Les Douges. It will be recalled that Osimhen also hit a brace in his Ligue 1 debut for the club against Nantes on Sunday, August 11, 2019. Lille will be counting on Osimhen’s goal prowess for their next league clash against Reims on Sunday, September 1, 2019.
