The amazing trio of remarkable Nigerian ladies made their Olympic bobsled debut at the ongoing PyeongChang Winter Games on Tuesday to become Africa’s first Olympic bobsledders.
In heat one, driver Seun Adigun and break-man, Akuoma Omeoga were the second to slide down the track recording a time of 52.21s.
In the second heat, the pair whipped down the tracks first but failed to beat their initial record with 34secs behind, they finished 20th at the end of Tuesdays run with a time of 52.55s.
Other teams in the tournament made it a norm to break their initial records and then, slide down the tracks with each heat time, beating the former in a thrilling session.
United State’s Elana Meyers Taylor and Lauren Gibbs held the best record time of 50.52s.
The final two heats will happen today (Wednesday), and the Nigerian duo must make sure that they put in more than they have if they are, to at least, get a significant position by the end of the day.
