New Video Alert: ‘Starlight’ – Cobhams Asuquo

Starlight, Chobams Asuquo‘s latest single, was our song of the week last week. This week the prolific music producer has released visuals for the song, which has him sharing intimate moments with his “Starlight”, model and actress Makida Moka, on a sandy beach, and later trying out some Shaku Shaku dance moves. He is quick to respond to an inquiry in the comments section of one of his many Instagram posts, in his characteristic funny manner, that the lady is not his wife. He also mentions in a different post that Ojuola (his wife) is his Starlight. The colourful video was shot in Lagos by Timmy Davies while Blessing Uzzi of Eccentric films directed. The song was produced by Johnny Drille. Cobhams is widely respected as an astute songwriter and music producer who has churned out classic after classic. His last single One Hit was a hit on arrival – no pun intended – and the video, even though minimalistic, was a masterpiece. Cobhams has won several awards and been nominated for many more, the latest being the AFRIMMA awards.
