NBA Mock Draft: Chicago Bulls Select Josh Okogie

The 2018 NBA draft has been scheduled for 21st June 2018 and, just like every baller hoping to make the draft, no one is sure what choices would be made, who gets what and who goes where.
What trades will each team make? Who will be top of the class? Which players will make the top five?
All these and more questions are on the hearts of fans and hopeful draftees.

Josh Okogie

In a mock draft conducted by SB Nation’s NBA Network, bloggers from each team’s site were asked to make likely picks for their teams and in the 22nd pick Nigerian basketball player Joshua Aloiye Okogie was picked by Chicago Bulls. SB Nation’s Chicago Bulls blog further explained why they picked the Nigerian:
We like Okogie as a potential high-motor 3-and-D wing. He flies around the court defensively, making up for his lack of height (6’4) with elite athleticism, a strong frame and plus-length (7-foot wingspan). He’s also proven himself to be a good three-point shooter, hitting 38 percent of his threes across two seasons at Georgia Tech and knocking in better than 80 percent of his free throws this year. “He reminds me a bit of David Nwaba, who was one of the few joys in an otherwise morbid Bulls season. And unlike Nwaba, he has serious upside as a catch-and-shoot threat from range. The Bulls need some defense and athleticism, making Okogie a natural pick at this spot.” – Blog-a-Bull
Josh was born in Lagos, Nigeria on September 1, 1998. He then moved to Georgia where he played college basketball for Georgia Tech from 2016 – 2018. As a 6’4 shooting guard, the Nigerian was not ranked by ESPN in the recruiting class of 2016, however this year the player confirmed his intentions on entering the NBA Drafts, and stands a chance of being drafted to a team by the end of Thursday night.
