mobile web west africa It was probably the best tech event the local ecosystem ever saw in 2012, local here being all of West Africa, when it comes to mobile web. And now another edition is here – Mobile Web West Africa 2013. OTEKBITS was at the center of it all last year, providing live coverage of the event and exclusive interviews with the speakers and industry players, and they will be doing that and more this time too. They have been preparing for Mobile Web West Africa and the 2013 conference is already set to surpass previous editions.  The event’s reputation has now reached the point where it is clearly established as the leading mobile event in the region – but that’s for you to decide.  You should however know that: The Event The event has been extended to 4 days this year.  As usual, you can pick which bits you want to attend:
  • – The main conference is on 8th & 9th May
  • – 7th May is the Mobile Marketing West Africa Focus Day
  • – 10th May will be a special “invite only” App Developer Day hosted by Qualcomm
The Venue The MWWA2013 will be held at the Four Points on Victoria Island. From feedback and a bit of research, the organizers have chosen this as the best business venue in Lagos for the third edition of West Africa’s most important mobile event. The Website You should check out the slick new website that is still your number one information resource on the conference.  A lot of time and effort went into the upgrade. Visit mobilewestafrica.com to experience it on desktop and mobile, and tell them what you think. The Big Friends It sure looks like the previous edition has netted the organizers bigger friends like QualcommEskimiBlackBerryThomson Reuters and iROKO Partners, all of whom are 100% on board. Can you feel the excitement?  It stands to reason: They are about to cover the leading event of its kind in one of the biggest and most exciting mobile markets in the world – West Africa.  If you want to share in the excitement simply visit mobilewestafrica.com and get involved.   This article was originally posted on http://otekbits.com
