The Lagos State Government has mandated completion of primary six before admission into secondary schools in the state, to avoid admitting underage children in secondary schools. The Lagos Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Olayinka Oladunjoye, said this, during an interactive session with proprietors and other stakeholders of basic education in the state. She also said, that, “Government has set up a standing committee to harmonize the school calendar, curriculum and time table for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (JSS3) of public and private schools in the state.”
