For those who will be participating
Here are a few tips for those who will be participating in the marathon.
- Do not run if you feel unwell.
- Make sure you wear footwear you’ll be comfortable in; if the weather is hot, wear loose mesh clothing.
- Take along with you only what is necessary (including just enough money for the day’s needs); leave your valuables at home.
- Drink (water) whenever you can, especially during the first half of the race- but don’t drink too much. Have something to drink and eat after you’re done with running, and rest.
- Be security conscious, and stay alert.
