Nigerian Singer/Producer J-martins is putting his music and production career in the hands of Now Muzik. The hip-hop high-life hit maker recently inked a management deal to join fellow Now Muzik signees 2Face Idibia, T.W.O, Sunny Neji and Timi Dakolo. “Basically, J Martins needs a management team that can plan his itinerary and tours and engagements. We had a meeting and we just hit it off right away. He’s a super talented artiste,” says Tony Anifite, COO of Now Muzik. J Martins, who has two albums under his belt, is set to unveil his third album titled “SELAH” (Hebrew for “Pause and think”). The 12 tracked album will reportedly have a much superior sound. “The bar has been raised, so I believe it is time for us to pause and think on ways to generally up our game,” says Martins, whose talent has caused him to tour over 78 countries. J.  Martins is responsible for producing some of Nigeria’s biggest hits. His 2008 monster classic “Good or Bad” ft P-Square and Timaya changed the tempo and rhythm of today’s contemporary high-life music. His signature tunes – a perfect blend of soukous, high-life and hip-hop – have influenced the music of A- list Nigerian/African acts like Timaya, P-Square, Bracket, Cabo Snoop and Fally Ipupa. J Martins is prepared to push forward as one of the headliners for African music locally and internationally. He is confident that his inclusion into Now muzik’s roster will help propel his career to the next level. “Now Muzik has a firm grasp on my work, as well as a clear vision and plan for the next chapter in my career,”said J martins. “We’ve got some exciting projects on the way and I appreciate Now Muzik’s dedication and determination to take my career to the next level.”
