Inspired By Uniqueness
Founded in July 2017, Esoterique Dynasty’s take on service delivery is driven by an intense focus on its customers’ uniqueness. So says Anuoluwapo Agoro, the enterprise’s founder and CEO. The brand delivers an assortment of fashion assessories, including multi-styled hand bags and jewelry, selected and matched to each new buyers’ peculiar needs. In Agoro’s words, the pieces on sale are “stylish, vibrant, unique and affordable.”
The theme of uniqueness seems set quite firmly in Agoro’s description of the business, which she currently runs with Tosin Tioluwani.
“Esoterique Dynasty was birthed in a place of need,” Agoro says. “We live in a world in which people are put in the shadows by their need to be like others. We need a world where people can be who they are without question. Diversity makes the spice out of life.”
A Growing Fashion Brand
A holder of a Degree in Economics from Covenant University, Agoro quit her job with a bank in order to build her own business and focus on her role as a pastor at her local church. She says she received support from people who believed in her vision and started the venture on a slim budget. It has grown quite steadily, bolstered by impressive sales made possible by its marketing on Instagram.
In fact, Agoro reckons that Esoterique Dynasty has only had “one average month” in the nine months of its being present on Instagram. She also says the business “has not run at a loss since its inception.” The key to this, she notes, is Esoterique’s success at retaining loyal customers and adding new ones over time.
In addition to its current range of offerings, Esoterique Dynasty has plans in the works to launch ready-to-wear clothing and bespoke services.
Why Esoterique Dynasty Is Thriving
When asked about the Instagram business environment, Agoro puts her finger on what she thinks has aided the performance of her business on that medium.
“Business on Instagram has been good generally,” she says. “The major challenge includes the fact that there’s a lot of competition. It takes focus and understanding our target audience to remain competitive.”
She has some insights to give as well.
“We have discovered that it’s not primarily the number of followers you have that determines your volume of sales, though that’s also important; it’s also the number of satisfied customers which boosts repeat buying and creates more opportunities to sell. Repeat customers market us based on the unique services we render to meet their needs.”
