In a move to strengthen the partnership between India and Nigeria in the healthcare sector, the Indian High commission to Nigeria, in association with the Ministry of Tourism and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) is organising a four-day healthcare event in Nigeria.
The event, according to the Director, Hospital Assist Nigeria Global Health Project and Resources consultant, Dr Adewale Alabi, would be inaugurated by Mr. Mahesh Sachdev, Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria.
In a statement, Dr. Alabi said, “This event promises to bring both India and Nigeria synergies by sharing of technical know-how and capacity building in healthcare. Approximately 30 Indian healthcare stakeholders, including major names such as Apollo, Fortis, Primus, among others will engage Nigerian stakeholders to streamline the existing cooperation”.
“Over past three years a number of Indian healthcare providers have set up their operations in Nigeria. The event IMTD 2013 will further strengthen these positive trends by synergizing the healthcare systems of our two countries. This event undoubtedly will improve bilateral relation between our two countries”.
The event will be held in Lagos and in Abuja. It will be held at Nicon Luxury Hotel on September 23, and that of Lagos will be held on September 25-26.
