  The dream of going global for Nigerian internet sensation, Ikorodu Bois, came true on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, after the group was invited to the world premiere of Netflix action thriller, Extraction 2, by the Russo brothers, after remaking the trailer of the movie. Popular for mimicking music videos and film trailers, the group’s remake of the trailer for Extraction, thrilled the producers to the level of publicly inviting the group to Hollywood for the premiere.

The Ikorodu Bois’ remake of the Hollywood film with a caption that pleased viewers to retweet, earned over four million views on Twitter under 24 hours.
“We so much love this movie and we hope @chrishemsworth and @netflix sees this remake, pls retweet.” Ikorodu Bois
The Lagos boys got more than they expected as the film producers, Anthony Russo and Joseph Russo (Russo brothers) hailed the remake and opened the doors of Extraction2 premiere to the group. Reacting to the invitation, the group stated that making the premiere would be a dream come true.

Asides the Russo brothers, the star of the film, Chris Hemsworth was equally impressed by the remake of the film and posted it on his Instagram page with the caption:
“huge shout out to these amazing young film makers @ikorodu_bois for recreating @extraction trailer shot for shot! I think your version might be better than the original !! @netflixfilm.” Chris Hemsworth
Sam Hargrave, the director of the video could not hide his love for the recreation, hailing the Ikorodu Bois for their ingenuity.

This is not the first time the group would be applauded by the global audience. In April 2020, they were hailed by Spanish actor and lead actor in the global hit Netflix Spanish drama series, Money Heist, Álvaro Morte. They have been hailed by celebrities and Hollywood stars such as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Taraji P. Henson, Will Smith, basketball star, Lebron James, and a host of others.
