Like we said last week about the WhatsApp video conferencing, the space is booming and quite frankly certain apps have taken off because of it, as more businesses tend to need the app. Zoom has been a hit and is gradually entering the corporate and social lingo in the same way Google and Netflix have, and it figures that the giants in the tech space would pin for a piece of that pie. Meet allows more participants than anything of its kind in the market, right now, and also, most phone owners in Nigeria are android users, so chances are that this applies to you. With Meet, you have more control as the host of a meeting as you can mute, admit or deny participants on a meeting. So, here is how to start using Google Meet.
- Go to meet.google.com (or, open the app on iOS or Android, or start a meeting from Google Calendar or GMail).
- Click Start new meeting, or enter your meeting code.
- Choose the Google account you want to use.
- Click Join meeting. You’ll have the ability to add others to your meeting, too.
Sign up to the Connect Nigeria daily newsletter
On GMail, Meet is integrated as a feature so go to the main menu bar on the top left of your screen. Under Meet, you may join or start a meeting by just clicking either.
