The organizers of the Headies awards 2018 have announced changes to the original nominees list earlier published. This is coming on the heels of the event which is scheduled for this weekend at Eko Hotels and Suites on Saturday 5^th May, 2018. Lagos. The changes which basically involve some nominee names and their award categories will see Nonso Amadi removed from the ‘Best RnB Single’ and ‘Best Vocal Performance (Male)’ categories, having released his song “Tonight” before the period under review. Mastakraft will be replaced by Cobhams as producer of Flavour’s ”Virtuous Woman’‘, just as Tekno will be replaced by Selebobo as producer of the former’s song “Rara”

 The official statement by the organizers reads:

”The Headies secretariat officially write to correct the following nominations which were given in error and are corrected as follows – ”Virtuous Woman” by Flavour was produced by Cobhams not Mastakraft and Selebobo produced ”Rara”, not Tekno.  –”Tonight” by Nonso Amadi was removed from ‘Best RnB Single’ and ‘Best Vocal Performance (Male)’ categories because it was released before the period under review. – Mastakraft‘s nomination for Best Producer is ”Yawa” and ”Augment”, while Cobhams is nominated for ”Butterflies” and ”Virtuous Woman”.
