Stakeholders in the construction industry are looking forward to a productive 3-day event as the much anticipated tradeshow, BUILDING, CONSTRUCTION & MACHINERY EXHIBITION (BUILDMACEX 2018) holds this month. This event which comprises Conference, Exhibition, and Technical Session and Product presentation is scheduled to take place between the 16th – 18th October, 2018 at the Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos, Nigeria from 10.00am – -5.00pm daily. BUILDMACEX is organized by ATLANTIC EXHIBITION in conjunction with Turkish Economy . It is also endorsed by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE, INDUSTRY, MINES AND AGRICULTURE [NACCIMA] in partnership with NIGERIAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS [NIA], NIGERIAN INSTITUTE OF BUILDING [NIOB) and NIGERIA INSTITUTE OF QUANTITY SURVEYOR (NIQS).   Over the years BUILDMACEX has created a niche in the industry by annually bringing together over 80 exhibitors and 3,000 visitors from over 20 countries from Nigeria, Turkey, Portugal, Lebanon, UAE, UK, China to mention a few. This year’s edition is themed “BUILDING AN ECOSYSTEM FOR INNOVATION [REPOSITIONING THE NIGERIA BUILD SECTOR TOWARDS INTERNATIONAL STANDARD PRACTICES] and some of the speakers billed to engage the audience at the plenary and breakout sessions include – Arc. Tonye Briade -President of NIA Bldr. Kenneth Nduka – President of NIOB, Prof M.O. Dada – HOD, Department of Building UNILAG, Dr Adejumo, Arc. Adobe Njoku – President of Nigeria Institute of Architect, DG of Lagos Safety Commission amongst other notable speakers. Speaking on the purpose for the tradeshow, Mr. Paul Olugbade, CEO of Atlantic Exhibition said “We are passionate about resolving today’s building and construction challenges and believe this event will be a rallying point for all stakeholders including architects, builders, surveyors, developers, agents, stakeholders, engineers, interior designers, contractors; land owners, distributors, wholesalers and major retailers in the industry.”
