Congratulations are in order for Funmi Iyanda! The media entrepreneur is officially the first African woman to receive a honorary fellowship from the University of Cumbria for her efforts at promoting human rights and sustainability. This will take place at a graduation ceremony in the historic Carlisle Cathedral of Cumbria, North West England. Born Olufunmilola Aduke Iyanda, the award-winning media maven is most popularly known for her talk show, New Dawn with Funmi, which she produced and hosted for over eight years. She is currently the CEO of Ignite Media, and was recently named one of Forbes 20 Youngest Power Women in Africa.
