The name “BLESSOMANIA” was adopted by the band’s leader, Blessing Okere, at the turn of the millenium, while he was a solo artist. Prior to that, he had been ministering using various stage names including “MC Blessing” and (as part of the duo that pioneered Christian hip hop in eastern Nigeria) the New Kingdom Homiez (NKH). The key members of the group have been performing together under different platforms for over 10 years. With a strong passion for meeting people and travelling, Blessomania hopes to use every creative gift they have been blessed with to glorify the LORD Jesus Christ; to lead lives worthy of His calling; and support other Christian artistes and music ministers. The group firmly believes in operating within the context of a “pure” music ministry, ensuring that appearances are without charge to churches and other faith-based groups.
