Orange Corners organizes a six-month incubation program for enterprises in Nigeria that helps them with the technical support and funding they need to grow and excel in today’s world. The program aims to build businesses that become catalysts for a more dynamic and resilient ecosystem. Orange Corners is managed by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, which works with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and local partners in Nigeria to execute its programs.

Benefits

Entrepreneurs selected to participate in the Orange Corners incubation program will benefit in the following ways:
  • Gain the knowledge, tools, and resources required to turn an idea into a successful business
  • Expose them to networks and support they need to achieve sustainable growth for their business
  • Access advisory services
  • Get funding to develop and test their product prototype
Candidates do not have to pay a fee to participate. The program is fully funded by the government of the Netherlands and private partners.

Eligibility

Intending participants in the incubator program should meet these conditions to be considered for it:
  • Be aged between 18 and 35 years
  • Be an aspiring entrepreneur based in Lagos
  • Have an innovative business concept that has been validated, and is not older than two years
  • Their product should be related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and solve a local problem (in Nigeria)

The Lead Up To The Incubator 

Persons who intend to participate in the incubator should register on the Orange Corners website, and check their email inboxes regularly for updates on their application from the program’s organizers. Fifty finalists will be selected from the pool of applicants and invited to a Bootcamp that will last for two days. A jury will review their performance, and choose twenty entrepreneurs from among them to take part in the incubator. Applications remain open until November 26, 2021.
