Shinning Stars
They both started singing at a very tender age, with Niniola singing at the request of friends and classmates. This earned her the name “Human radio”. She later joined the school’s cultural group. She was MTN Project Fame 3rd runner-up and piggybacked on the limelight provided to launch her musical career. This year alone, she was nominated 3 times at the Headies, including one in the “Best R&B/Pop Album” category. She was also nominated for the Best African Artist Album award at the South African Music Awards, Viewers Choice Best New International Act at the BET Awards, and Best International Female Artist at the IARA Awards in London. She is currently the Maya Awards Youth Artiste Of The Year and the Glazia Awards Persons Of The Year. Teni, on the other hand, started signing at age 2, joined the school band later on, and eventually made Instagram her launch pad for a professional music career. She uploaded freestyle videos and easily became a much-loved internet sensation. Teniola has used several aliases, including Teni the entertainer and Teni Makanaki. Her career started quietly in 2016 when she signed a recording contract with Magic Fingers Records and released “Fargin” and other songs in quick succession, making her one of the fastest rising acts in Nigeria’s saturated music industry. She won the Rookie Of The Year Award at the 2018 Headies. Both Teni and her older sister, Niniola, are currently household names in the industry and are growing stronger by the day.Sources: Wikipedia, Nairaland, Wikipedia,
