Solaris Green Tech Hub was born out of a deep-seated passion for sustainable energy and a desire to address the significant energy gap in rural Nigeria. For many communities, access to electricity is either non-existent or unreliable, forcing them to rely on expensive and polluting fuels like kerosene and diesel. According to the World Bank, over 85 million Nigerians lack access to electricity, and many more experience frequent power outages. This energy deficit has forced communities and families to rely on expensive and polluting alternatives such as diesel generators, which not only strain household budgets but also contribute to environmental degradation. Chiemela Anosike, the visionary behind Solaris Green Tech Hub, recognized these challenges and took action.
