IpNX is a Nigerian Information and Communications Technology company that provides a range of IT services to businesses and private residences. These services include broadband internet, collocation and hosting, IP VPN, IP wholesale, cloud computing, and unified communication.
Headquartered in Lagos, ipNX serves clients that are spread across the country. It connects with them through its I-shops, locations in Abuja, Ibadan, Kano, Lagos, and Port Harcourt, as well as its digital channels. This company continues to expand its reach and is likely to add other locations to the places in which it currently has a physical presence.
IpNX was founded in 2003. In almost two decades, it has managed to position itself as a leader in multiple IT service categories. It is particularly dominant in the Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) product segment, thanks to its extensive fibre-optic network which spans more than 800 km. This service allows it to connect homes and commercial establishments to reliable internet and data services.
The company currently has more than 5,000 SMEs and large scale businesses on its list of clients, including leading financial institutions. Its service connects all banks in Nigeria, the CBN, Interswitch, and NIBSS (the Nigerian Inter-Bank Settlement Scheme). Numerous other clients and their branches also depend on ipNX to stay connected to each other.
The Fibre Optic Service (FOS) available from ipNX provides internet access to businesses and living spaces. For businesses, this service comes with speeds of between 200 Megabytes Per Second (Mbps) and 1,000 Mbps; free static IP; two free phone lines; and free on-net calls. Homes also enjoy connection speeds of up to 150 Mbps. These services are valid for 30 days.
Small businesses can take advantage of the FOS bundles that ipNX has designed specifically for them. There are six categories of fibre optic services on offer in the SME segment, with data allowances of up to 12,000 Gigabytes and speeds reaching 500 Mbps. They come with modems and can be installed by ipNX at a cost to its clients.
Companies seeking to connect their branches with reliable business and IP services can get this done with ipNX. They deliver scalable connectivity solutions that attain speeds of up to 100 Gigabytes Per Second (Gbps) and Virtual Private Networks over fibre optic cables. Leveraging this service, businesses may establish branch-to-branch and branch-to-central site connections, third party connections to e-payment gateways, connections to key data centres, and connections to cloud service providers.
Besides connectivity solutions, ipNX also provides collocation and hosting, through a data centre that hosts servers and storage devices for organizations. IpNX promises operational expertise dedicated to their data centre, 100% network availability, guaranteed power supply, backup, 24-hour security and support.
Customized emails are supplied by ipNX too. Its email service comes with anti-spam and anti-virus protection, perennial network availability, remote access, and round-the-clock security and support.
IpNX offers telephone services as well. Its on-premise voice solution comes with the benefits conferred by traditional fixed telephone lines, along with instant messaging and conferencing which can be accessed from computers, tablets, and smartphones. There’s also a cloud voice product (Centrex) that doesn’t require on-site hardware to function. This cloud-based solution lets businesses quickly provide phone lines to their new sites and cater to their expanding workforce.
IpNX operates with a vision to “be the preferred communications and IT enabler in Africa and beyond.” Thus far, it has gained a strong footing in Nigeria’s IT industry. If it continues on its current trajectory, it could scale even further, and build a noteworthy pan-African brand.
