Interns will also collaborate with project teams in order to advance the World Bank’s vision of creating a world that is free from poverty and a livable planet. To be considered eligible for the internship:
- The applicant must hold an undergraduate degree.
- You must be currently enrolled in a full-time graduate study program.
- The applicant must be fluent in English.
- Applicants with knowledge of additional languages such as French, Russian, Chinese, Arabic, Spanish, and Portuguese are desirable.
- Applicants with strong computing and other relevant technical skills are advantaged.
- The World Bank Group values diversity and inclusion. Applicants from every background are encouraged to apply.

Some of the benefits of the program include:
- Apart from the professional development opportunities, interns will be paid on an hourly basis and be given a travel allowance of up to $3,000 when applicable at the discretion of the manager. Travel expenses can only include expenses to or from the city of the duty station.
- Interns are responsible for their accommodation, and most internship positions are based in Washington and some in the World Bank country offices.
