It is also a unique opportunity for selected interns to enhance their academic and technical knowledge through practical assignments in the form of relevant work assignments, thereby preparing them for their future careers. The UNESCO Internship Program presents a multicultural working environment across multiple locations. Interns will receive comprehensive training, which may lead to a full-time job.

To be eligible for the program

  • The applicant must be at least 20 years old.
  • The applicant must have graduated recently with a master’s degree or PhD (or second degree), 12 months before the start of the internship.
  • The applicant should be currently enrolled in a graduate program (master’s degree, PhD, or equivalent, or a second university degree or higher).
  • Applicants who hold secretarial/assistant or technical/professional assignments must be currently enrolled in a secretarial school or a specialized technical/professional institution and must be in the final year of their studies or have graduated recently (within the last 12 months) from their school or institution.
  • The applicant must have an excellent command of English or French, both written and spoken. It is an advantage if an applicant knows another working language.

  • The applicant must have outstanding knowledge of computer systems and office-related software.
  • The applicant must be able to work in a team and multicultural environment.
  • The applicant must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
