The UMI Mentorship Program, which started in June 2023, is focused on women who do not want to ignore the home front because of their careers. Since the launch of the program in 2023, mothers from the following African countries have been paired with mentors: Nigeria, South Africa, Rwanda, Malawi, Botswana, Ethiopia, Kenya, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. It is a three-month program, and the next cohort is expected to run from February to April 2025. It is a virtual program, but mentors and their mentees can physically meet if they want to without restrictions.
