The Green Innovation Challenge is an opportunity to get a single-digit financing facility that is up to N20 million for emerging brands, alongside mentorship and networking opportunities with leading industry experts to promote the growth of innovative environmental initiatives.

To be eligible for the program

  • The applying business must have been operational for at least two years.
  • The project must be a solution developed by Nigerians for Nigerians in line with the ESG principles and the SDGs.
  • The innovation must have a clear plan for scale.
  • The applicants for online lending must be registered.
  • The applicant must submit a business plan and pitch deck (for business applicants) or a proposal (for social enterprise applicants).
  • The applicant must complete the necessary financing documentation.
  • Every applicant can only submit one entry. Multiple entries will be disqualified.

Some of the benefits of the program include

  • The program provides up to 2 million naira for agricultural, clean tech, and women-led initiatives aimed at environmental innovation.
  • The program connects participants with relevant resources to scale their operations and achieve a lasting impact in line with the ESG principles and SDGs.
  • The program offers only 1 billion naira for cleantech projects and up to 20 million naira for agricultural solutions.
  • It promotes the development of solutions that are technology-driven enhance productivity and profitability and addresses climate challenges.
  • It facilitates networking and mentorship opportunities.
