Fellows will undergo various forms of leadership training to prepare them for future leadership roles in countries, communities, and organisations. At the end of the program, they will gain certification and become part of the YALI Alumni Network. Travel expenses, including visas, housing, and meals for selected fellows, will be fully covered.

To be eligible for the YALI program:
- The applicant must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
- The applicant must be a citizen of one of the following countries: Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana, Togo, Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone, Liberia, The Gambia, and Burkina Faso.
- The applicant must be eligible to receive a visa to Ghana.
- The applicant must demonstrate strong knowledge, professional experience, and interest in the sector in which they are selected.
- The applicant must be able to work and actively engage in community or public service, mentorship, and volunteerism.
- The applicant must possess strong social and communication skills.
- You must be able to work in a diverse environment and respect the opinions of others.

- The applicant must speak, read, listen, and write English proficiently.
- The applicant must demonstrate commitment to applying leadership skills and training to their home country after the program.
