  As part of celebrations for Children’s Day, the Heirs Insurance Group announced the 2024 Heirs Insurance Essay Championship. The Essay Championship is an annual competition aimed at showcasing the talent and creativity of children.

Secondary school students in JSS1-JSS3 are eligible for the competition. They are to submit an essay on “If I Could Invent Something New”. Participants in the Heirs Insurance Essay Championship stand to win N5 million and N1 million grants for their schools.

Prizes to be won include:

  1. A grand sum of N5 million worth of scholarship for the winner and N1 million grant for the school of the winner
  2. 1st runner-up receives a N2 million worth of scholarship
  3. 2nd runner-up receives a N1 million worth of scholarship

Criteria for Submission of Essays:

  1. Essays must be typed, not handwritten.
  2. The word count for the essay should not exceed 500.
  3. The font type in MS Word should be Times New Roman.
  4. The font size should be 13pt.
  5. Students must write their name, school name, and class on the essay paper.
  6. Essays can be submitted in Word or PDF format.
  7. The document size must not exceed 1 MB.
