Applications are currently open for the Innocent Chukwuma Social Impact Fellowship (ICSIF). This program is built to help selected young Nigerians become active social justice leaders and social impact pioneers. If you are interested in contributing to positive change on various social levels in Nigeria, here’s an opportunity that could prepare you for that.

The ICSIF will enable young Nigerians to drive social development in their communities, regions, and the country as a whole, through social enterprises, non-profit organizations, research, and social change initiatives, among other relevant projects. Fellowship engagements will also be designed around the law, criminal justice administration, policing, and security sector reforms.

Persons selected for this program will receive technical support and sub-grants and will be able to take advantage of the learning opportunities open to them through the fellowship.

  1. Access mentorship and receive specialized technical support.
  2. Take part in capacity building sessions (online and in-person).
  3. Get sub-grants to build their impact projects.
  4. Participate in forums that cover social-impact themes.

Eligibility

This fellowship is open to people who meet these conditions:
  1. Be under the age of 30.
  2. Tackling social problems through enterprise, research, advocacy, and social impact initiatives.

The Program’s Format

The ICSIF will take place over six months and in three phases, as follows:

  1. Phase 1: Capacity building through seminars and short courses. This will happen in the first two months.
  2. Phase 2: Project acceleration through mentorship, engagement with peers, and the provision of sub-grants. This will happen between the third and fifth months.
  3. Phase 3: Fellows will take on conference engagements, and get linked to a wider community of social impact project builders and social impact investors.

Applications for this program will remain open until March 25, 2022.
