After referring to it as Android ‘O’ for the longest time, following its predecessors, Nougat, Marshmallow, and Lollipop, Andriod ‘O’ finally has a name– Android Oreo. Google and Modelez partnered to create Android 8.0 Oreo, which was unveiled Monday, Aug. 21, 2017. The new OS boasts several new amazing features, including the ability to respond to notifications directly on a phone’s home screen and the ability to access apps without installing them on a device. (Mark Lennihan/Associated Press) Circumstantial information on the Andriod 8 is yet to be released, nevertheless, the OS will make a debut appearance in October on a new pixel phone.
