A compelling story of human resilience, dedication and sacrifice, 93 Days is based on a true story of men and women who risked their lives to save Nigeria from the deadly Ebola virus that struck West Africa at its peak in 2014.
The movie is plotted around Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian-American of whom it is believed to have introduced the Ebola virus into Nigeria, and Dr Ameyo Adadevoh, the lead doctor at the First Consultant Hospital where Mr Sawyer was admitted. Over a 93-day period from Mr Sawyer’s arrival, the actions taken by the team at the First Consultant Hospital, Lagos, the Lagos State Government, the Federal Government and the people of Nigeria at large would be consequential in containing one of the deadliest epidemic outbreaks in the world’s history.
