TGIF stands for ‘Thank God It’s Friday’ and it summarizes what could be said to be the feeling of most workers who work Mondays to Fridays. An average worker looks forward to weekends with great excitement and optimism. This is because weekends for most persons mean no checking of emails, no team meetings and certainly no check-ins or check-outs. • Review And Plan For The Next Work Week

Another important personal growth activity I will advise you to adopt in your weekend schedule is reviewing your work week or your general goals and then setting out plans or new goals for yourself. The review session will help you understand how far you have come and where you are at the present. The planning session on the other hand will help you set out plans and goals for the next work week or month, specifying for yourself what to work on. This will help increase your focus for the new work week.
  • Study A Book

This is probably the primary personal growth activity anyone can engage in. Plan your weekend in such a way that you set out time to study a book. You may not be able to study a whole book during the weekend, but you can get started by studying two chapters of a book.
  • Listen To Podcasts Or Audio Teachings

In addition to studying a book, you can also listen to podcasts or other audio teachings that will help give you useful knowledge and information necessary for your personal growth. During the weekends, while I engage in activities such as home cleaning and laundry, I listen to some of my favourite podcasts and audio teachings.
