The Golden Eaglets win the World Cup. On November 8, our U-17 National Soccer Team won the tournament for the fifth time in Santiago, Chile and became the second team ever to retain the trophy having won it in 1985, 1993, 2007 and 2013. Alliance Hospital in Abuja made history in 2015 by becoming the first private hospital to conduct an open-heart surgery. Raising the bar in healthcare delivery by successfully conducting the modified Bentell operation which entails a complicated grafting of sensitive valves to the heart, this feat is sure to restore hope and possibly reduce the impact of medical tourism to the country’s thinning dollar position.
