The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set to hold their first training session on Thursday morning (October 10, 2019) ahead of their highly anticipated international friendly against the Selecao of Brazil on Sunday, October 13, 2019. A total of 19 players, including team assistant captain William Troost-Ekong, Leicester City of England midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, and in from Lille OSC of France striker, Victor Osimhen, hit the team’s Fairmont Hotel base on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 to kick off preparations for Sunday’s encounter.
The trio of Oghenekaro Etebo, Jamilu Collins, and Heartland FC of Owerri shot-stopper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, are expected to team up with the rest of the squad on Thursday. Ikechukwu Ezenwa was part of the Super Eagles officials that departed the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja aboard Emirates Airline on Wednesday (October 9, 2019) for the tie scheduled to hold in Singapore.
In another development, Torino FC of Italy defender, Ola Aina, pulled out of the game on Wednesday morning due to an injury. The Super Eagles will square off against the Brazilian national team at the Singapore National Stadium on Sunday, October 13, 2019 by 1:00pm (Nigerian time).
