The Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) has shortlisted 1,000 entrepreneurs across the African continent for its TEEP Programme which is set to run for the next nine months. Training under this programme will consist of an intensive online curriculum, mentoring opportunities and a two-day entrepreneurship bootcamp.
TEEP is a $100 million initiative set up to discover and empower 10,000 African entrepreneurs over the next decade, for the purpose of creating millions of jobs and raising $10 billion in revenue. All these are geared towards the foundation’s ultimate goal of driving Africa’s economic growth, social transformation and intensifying job creation efforts.
The unsuccessful applicants (approximately 19,000) will be requested to join the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Network, a great platform for the refinement of their entrepreneurial knowledge and skills.
Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa and Ghana are the five African countries with the highest number of shortlisted participants.
