The entrepreneurial spirit of Nigeria’s teeming youth is about to be inspired and unleashed.

The Youth Enterprise Summit and Expo 2016 will be holding tomorrow, July 12, 2016, at the Conference Hall, Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. The event will bring together the decision makers and opinion shapers at the highest levels of government and industry in Nigeria and young entrepreneurs from across the country. It offers a rare opportunity for youth-driven start-ups and enterprises to get the intelligence and contacts they need to grow bigger and get better at their businesses from experienced professionals and representatives of relevant government agencies.

The main conference topic for this year’s YES Expo is “Nigeria Beyond Oil: Advancing SMME Development through Entrepreneurship”. Its primary focus will be on the role of government in developing and supporting entrepreneurs, business support services, and human capital development for small businesses. In line with this theme, a number of government officials are expected to be speaking at the event. Creators and innovators from all over Nigeria have the chance to get the exposure and mentoring they need to turn the bright ideas they have into thriving businesses.

Some of those scheduled to speak at the YES Expo tomorrow are: Professor Yemi Osinbanjo, Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; Akinwunmi Ambode, Executive Governor of Lagos State; Chris Ngige, Minister of Labour; Waheed Olgunju, MD, Bank of Industry; Dr. Dikko Umaru Radda, Director-General of SMEDAN; Olusegun Awolowo, CEO, Nigerian Export Promotion Council; Kyari Bukar, Chairman, Nigeria Economic Summit Group; Dr. Abdu Mukhtar, Chief Strategy Officer, Dangote Group; Mrs. Billikiss Adebiyi Abiola, Co-Founder, CEO We Cyclers Limited; Mr. Ubong King, Group Managing Director, Protection Plus Services; Mr. Emeka Okafor, MD, Connect Nigeria; Engr. Olawunmi Gasper, Executive Secretary/CEO, LASTVEB, and many other influential business leaders.
