  The World Bank Group is now recruiting smart young people who want to join it through its Young Professionals Program (YPP). It is receiving applications from people of diverse educational and professional backgrounds—especially those who want to work as Technical Specialists, Economists, and Associate Investment Officers.

Recruits will join the World Bank Group on a five-year term contract. The first two years will be spent deepening their understanding of the bank’s workings by filling rotating roles across the organization. They will also strengthen their grasp of the bank’s workings through training at the Young Professionals Academy. Training for the Young Professionals Program will be in areas such as technical operations, language programs, negotiation and business skills, and leadership development.

Eligibility

  • Must have been born after October 1, 1992
  • Have worked for at least 4 years after completing undergraduate studies (work also includes doctoral studies and internships)
  • Completion of a Master’s degree or its equivalent in a relevant field before September 1, 2025
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
